This collection of 24 pieces written over four decades provides a rich and wide-ranging overview of many of Finnissy's musical concerns. In music sometimes of great simplicity and sometimes of extreme complexity, there is throughout a care and affection for the music, lives, and beliefs of others who are portrayed in many of these evocative pieces.
