There are many aspects that inspired Kurt Gäble to write his composition "Begegnung" (Meeting). This piece fot the uncommon combination of band and alphorn(s) consists of three parts: andante, allegro and espressivo. You can substitute the solo parts with instruments from the band.

The different possibilities of the solo parts:
1st part (alphorn in F, horn in F/Eb, tenorhorn in Bb)
2nd part (alphorn in F, horn in F/Eb, tenorhorn in Bb, baritone/trombone
3rd part (alphorn in F, baritone/tuba)
