Based on the tune My Shepherd Will Supply My Need from the traditional work “Walker's Southern Harmony,” this sensitive and richly-scored setting provides a wonderful showcase for legato melodies and flowing counterlines. The piece builds gradually throughout, leading to the “maestoso” emotional peak. From there it winds down to a beautifully calm and peaceful close. Very effective!
